‘Purga Breeder Farms’ is a modern, purpose built facility, 71% of which was constructed for Steggles in 2007 with the original portion (29%) of the infrastructure constructed in 2001. The property is spread over an expansive 157 acre site including three separate breeder farms.

Located within close proximity to Ipswich (9 km north) and the Brisbane CBD (55 km north east). Easily accessible to major transport routes including the Cunningham Highway, Warrego Highway and the Ipswich Motorway

Breeder Farm 1 was originally constructed in 2001 and was converted from a Broiler operation to a Breeder Farm in 2007. It is improved with five near-identical poultry sheds totalling 10,880sq m, a homestead, double garage, office/staff amenities, packing shed and machinery shed.

Breeder Farms 2 and 3 were constructed in 2007 and are located at the southern section of the site and offer a combined area under roof of 24,372sq m which spans across 12 sheds. Both of these farms have six poultry sheds, a dwelling, double garage, office/staff amenities, central egg collection laneway and packing shed/cold room.
