THE headquarters of leading fund manager Sentinel Property Group is fast becoming Brisbane’s answer to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with the office now featuring a salute to the Don McLean epic ‘American Pie’ along with a rare collection of records and memorabilia by The Beatles. The American Pie tribute has been framed and displayed in the office of Sentinel chief executive Warren Ebert after being put together by chief experience officer and budding rock historian Michael ‘The Professor’ Sherlock.

“The Professor has created a magnificent montage to celebrate American Pie using records and album covers referenced in the lyrics,” Ebert says.

American Pie, McLean’s masterpiece inspired by the 1959 plane crash death of legendary early rock star Buddy Holly – was a worldwide number one in 1972, including in Australia.
