Role Overview
Sentinel Property Group is seeking a meticulous and compliance-focused Trust Account Administrator to join our Legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all trust account transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and maintaining the integrity of trust accounting practices across the firm. Reporting directly to the Legal Director, you will play a vital role in supporting internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory obligations while improving trust accounting systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day trust account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and ledgers.
- Ensure full compliance with the Legal Profession Act, associated Regulations, and trust account rules.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations with the Investor Relations Team.
- Prepare accurate trust records and statutory reports for audits and legal review.
- Maintain clear and auditable trust account documentation (digital and hard copy)
- Support the setup of new trust accounts and liaise with regulators and auditors as needed.
- Identify and implement improvements to trust accounting software and procedures.
- Provide internal guidance on trust compliance matters and assist with policy updates.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in trust accounting or legal bookkeeping (law firm or legal environment preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Queensland trust accounting regulations
- Proficiency in LEAP Legal Software (highly regarded) and Microsoft Office
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical reconciliation
- Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Legal Administration (desirable)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders
