Work on a new outdoor dining and entertainment precinct at DFO Cairns is set to start within weeks.

Sentinel Property Group chief marketing officer Michael Sherlock said DFOOD would host a number of prominent food retailers, cafes and restaurants as well as a kids’ zone, green space and a large outdoor screen. He said there had been strong interest from potential retailers. “We are currently in talks with a number of other major food brands that are keen to establish a presence in Cairns,” Mr Sherlock said. “The new DFOOD precinct will be a vibrant new food destination with a number of exciting new retail brands.”

Construction of DFOOD will start after a mall widening project off the current homewares precinct is completed later this month. We’re very excited.” Eye Supply Optometrist also recently opened and works to increase World Gym’s tenancy size by 50 per cent will also being this year. Major US clothing chain TK Maxx is also set to open at DFO Cairns in coming months.
