New spot is the Taco of the town
March 2, 2021
Taco Bell marketing manager Phil Hancox said the restaurant next to Hungry Jacks at Cairns DFO had been designed for the Far North.
He said the restaurant would be the 20th Taco Bell in Australia.
“Taco Bell is excited to share its experience with our fans in Queensland’s Far North,” he said.
“Cairns shares strong similarities with Taco Bell’s southern Californian roots with its relaxed and friendly coastal vibe.”
The restaurant spans 280sq m with indoor-outdoor dining and an open kitchen that can be viewed in the restaurant and via the drive-through.
Mr Hancox said the “California-meets-north-Queensland” design featured explosive colour pops, an original mural by an emerging local street artist, custom furniture, tech charging stations and free Wi-Fi.
He said the menu featured all the Mexican-inspired dishes such as tacos, burritos and nachos, as well as favourites like the crunchwrap supreme, boss burrito and cheesy double decker taco — to be enjoyed with a cold Corona or frozen margarita.
Dine-in customers can enjoy unlimited soft drink refills and play DJ by choosing the music they want to listen to using the CrowdDJ App.
The Westcourt restaurant will be open from Monday to Sunday from 10am to 11pm.
